Mariene Gutierrez is an energy professional with more than 15 years experience in international oil & gas and renewable energy companies, engineering and consulting firms, and R&D. Expert in technical, commercial and regulatory compliance for: E&P, Natural Gas and Carbon Storage, and Geothermal Energy. Participates in technical committees and programs in Mexico and Central America to further the adoption and implementation of renewable technologies within the mining, industrial, agricultural and public sectors. She’s the Managing Director of the Mexican energy consulting firm Tlalli Energia. Mariene holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering, from the Technical Institute of La Laguna in Mexico, a MSc in Energy and Environmental Engineering from Sheffield University in the UK, and a PhD in Earth Sciences from Utrecht University in The Netherlands.
