Joeri de Wit co-leads ESMAP work programs on Geothermal Energy and Energy Subsidy Reform. Prior to joining the World Bank,  Joeri worked on various energy economics topics, including geothermal energy extraction, oil pricing, designing renewable energy incentives, and estimating demand for hybrid electric vehicles. Joeri holds MAs in Economics from the University of Rotterdam and the University of Chicago, as well as a PhD in Resource Economics from the University of California, Davis.
