Sanya Detweiler is the lead project manager for the Clinton Climate Initiative’s work in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. She coordinates the execution of solar and storage projects for the Solar Saves Lives initiative at clinics, hospitals, schools and other public-service facilities.

Sanya has over five years experience in solar, including previous roles in project management and O&M with national solar company, Sunrun, and as a volunteer team leader with GRID Alternatives. Prior to working in solar, she was a consultant on clean cookstove projects in Central and South America and Southeast Asia.

Sanya has a Bachelor in Architecture from the University of California Berkeley and a Master in Sustainable Energy System Management from Hanze University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands – coordinated by the Association of European Renewable Energy Research Centres (EUREC). She completed her Master thesis on battery storage and EVs with Mercedes-Benz Energy.
