Koen’s current role within ENGIE’s renewable hydrogen business unit is to lead the development of new large-scale projects in Brazil, in addition he is responsible for the Mining Program, which aims at co-creating new hydrogen solutions, to enable the decarbonization of the mining sector. Both challenges require innovation and strong partnerships with the companies, OEMs, technology providers and government institutions. Furthermore, Koen is also supporting the development of other Hydrogen solutions within the Latam region.

Koen has over 13 years’ experience within the renewable energy and green mobility sectors, both from a development as from an implementation perspective. He holds a Master’s Degree of Industrial Engineer Electronics with specialization in Power Electronics; and is a PMI certified Project and Program Management Professional.
