Associate Professor at the Energy Planning Program
Dr. André F.P. Lucena is an Associate Professor at the Energy Planning Program of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (PPE/COPPE/UFRJ). He holds a PhD in Energy Planning from COPPE/UFRJ and his research interests include energy and environmental economics, integrated assessment models and climate change. Dr. Lucena has worked as a visiting scholar at the International Energy Studies Department of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) in California. He was also a Fulbright scholar within the Nexus Program, a collaborating author of the AR5 WGIII and lead author of AR6 WGIII of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), and a member of the Brazilian Academy of Science (ABC).
