Daniel Lamassa is the Undersecretary of Oil, Natural Gas and Energy of the Secretariat for Economic Development, Energy and International Relations (SEDEERI) of the Government of the State of Rio de Janeiro, a state that is the largest producer of oil (81,3%), the largest producer of natural gas (62,4%) and the only state with nuclear energy generation of the country, in addition to great potential for energy generation through solar photovoltaic sources, offshore wind, green and blue hydrogen, and biogas. Daniel participates with the State Government creating public policies to improve the business environment in attracting and consolidating companies in the Oil, Natural Gas and Energy sector in the State. A Petroleum Engineer from PUC-Rio, Daniel has an international master’s degree in Oil and Gas Trade Management from Regent’s University London and a postgraduate degree in Project Management from Fundação Getulio Vargas. With professional experience in the energy field, he has worked in an energy consulting company and in a transport company that uses Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) as fuel. He has articles published in national and international magazines, in addition to speaking at various events focused on the Oil, Natural Gas and Energy sector. He represents the State Government and the Secretariat as an advisor in different bodies, always seeking to strengthen and attract companies to the State of Rio de Janeiro.
