André Luiz Rodrigues Osório has been Director of the Department of Energy Information and Studies (DIE) of the Department of Development and Energy Planning (SPE) of the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) since April 2019.
With a degree in Economics and a specialization in Business Management and Economic and Financial Engineering from the Fluminense Federal University (UFF), he has been a member of the Energy Research Company (EPE) since 2006, where he served on the Board of Economic, Energy and Environmental Studies, performing activities related to energy supply studies.
At Eletronuclear’s Planning Superintendence, from 1998 to 2006, he carried out activities with an emphasis on technological development, on the performance of plants in operation, on the construction of new units and on advanced reactor projects.
As Director of the MME, he is responsible for developing long-term structuring actions for the implementation of sectoral policies. The governing body functions as the management center for programs and projects in its area of ​​competence and ensures sectoral integration within the ministry. The board also outlines the guidelines and coordinates the elaboration and implementation of Brazilian energy planning instruments, such as the Ten Year Energy Expansion Plan, the National Energy Plan and the National Energy Matrix.
