Luca Guglielmetti has a geology background and holds a PhD in Geothermal Exploration issued by the Universities of Turin (Italy) and Neuchatel (Switzerland). Luca started his “geothermal journey” in 2007, as junior geologist at the Yellowstone National Park, then carried out his PhD before joining the geothermal industry in Tuscany where he worked for 4 years as Senior Geologist leading different exploration tasks. Since 2016 he joined the University of Geneva where he works in close collaboration with the Swiss geothermal industry to develop projects for heat production, storage, and direct uses in the food industry, focusing on resource identification and sustainability evaluation.
