Industrial Civil Engineer and Risk Prevention & Industrial Safety Engineer with more than 20 years of experience in various types of industries such as mining, telecommunications, and manufacturing, among others.
Leonardo began working at Energy Development Corporation Chile (EDC Chile) in September 2014 as the Health & Safety Officer. His mission was to implement the H&S strategy based on EDC’s Corporate Occupational Health & Safety Policies, together with the local regulations on risk prevention in geothermal operations. Leonardo’s role has evolved since the year 2017, performing new duties within project management.
Leonardo is currently in charge of the Environmental Impact Assessment process (EIA) and applicable sectoral permits with the support of environmental and social consultants, as well as administrating grant processes of the Geothermal Development Facility (GDF), a multilateral geothermal risk mitigation entity for Latin America.
