Mr. David Rocha collaborated as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), specifically in the program “Support for Geothermal Regulatory Development in the Context of the Energy Reform in Mexico”. He participated in the elaboration of the Regulation of the Geothermal Energy Law and in different proposals of guidelines to facilitate the administrative-technical regime determined by the Mexican Geothermal Energy Law. From August 1, 2015, until 2019, he worked at the Secretary of Energy (SENER) as a Geothermal Technical Coordinator where he oversaw the execution of procedures and technical monitoring of geothermal projects at the federal level. He has participated as a speaker at the Geothermal Resources Council (GRC), and in the congresses of the Mexican Geothermal Association (AGM). In 2019 he co-founded the consulting company XENERCO Energy Solutions and since June 2022 he assumed the role of the project manager of GETERMEX, a startup that seeks to deploy geothermal distributed generation projects in Baja California Sur.
