Deputy Head of Transmission Expansion Studies
Marcos Vinícius Gonçalves da Silva Farinha is an Electrical Engineer from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He graduated from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in 2008, holds a Master’s degree in Power Systems from COPPE/UFRJ (2013), and an MBA in Public Management from ENAP (2022). He began his career at the Transmission Planning Superintendency (STE) as an Energy Research Analyst (2008–2013) and has served as a Technical Consultant since 2014. From 2019 to 2022, he coordinated the Transmission Study Groups (GET) for the North and Northeast regions. He currently serves as Deputy Head of the Transmission Planning Superintendency and coordinates electrical connection studies for the technical qualification of generation projects participating in energy and capacity auctions.
