Luciana Aparecida da Costa holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp) and a master’s degree in Finance from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV-SP) in partnership with the University of Chicago (USA).

Before joining BNDES, Luciana spent more than 25 years in Brazil’s banking sector, holding leadership roles at BankBoston, Citibank, ABN AMRO, Standard Bank, and, most recently, Natixis (Groupe BPCE), where she served as CEO in Brazil.

Since March 2023, Luciana has served as Director of Infrastructure, Energy Transition and Climate Change at BNDES.
