Joel is head of the Brazil Credit Financing Group, where he is responsible for structuring fixed-income solutions for Brazilian clients. He joined Goldman Sachs in 2018 as a vice president and head of the Brazil Debt Capital Markets practice and was named Managing Director in 2021.

Before joining the firm, Joel spent 13 years working at various global banks in New York and São Paulo. He focused on capital markets products and advised clients and infrastructure projects on their financing needs.

Joel earned a BA in Business from Insper in Brazil and has completed executive education programs at Harvard University, Stanford University, and Columbia University.
