Ian is a Manager within RMI’s Islands Energy Program, where he works on the preparation and development of battery storage, microgrid, and renewable energy projects and initiatives. He has extensive experience in the development of commercial propositions for battery storage and renewable energy generation. Prior to RMI, Ian worked for EDF Energy, leading on large-scale battery optimization and investment case structuring, with previous roles in wholesale markets optimization and commercial strategy. He has worked on several innovative projects involving alternative energy, distributed energy resources, e-mobility smart charging and vehicle-to-grid. Ian holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) from Imperial College London and is a qualified Energy Risk Professional (ERP).
