César Santos is a Managing Partner of Magnetar Global Partners; he has over 25 years of experience in the energy sector; he has experience with over 12,000 MW and US$13 Billion of energy investment opportunities and evaluated projects. In addition, he has experience in the entire cycle of energy investment, from green field business development, structuring the equity investments and financial closing, Construction asset management, M&A, carbon credits, and managing the performance of the investment of energy assets in operation (AUM).

He is an Electromechanical Engineer from PUCMM with an MBA in Energy Business from IBERDROLA/NEBRIJA in Spain; he obtained a Certification in Technological Innovation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Certification in Climate Change and Energy from the Harvard Kennedy School in Boston, USA. with Financial Investment programs in Renewable Energy Business completed from (IEB) & (ENERCLUB), in Madrid Spain.

In 2017, he received the Energy Innovator of the Latin American Region award from the United States Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).
