Dr. Gary Jackson is a Caribbean Energy Consultant currently functioning as the Executive Director of emPowered Caribbean Communities (emPCC) and Principal Director of Caribbean Energy Solution Research Institute (CESRI). He held notable positions within the region including: Executive Director of Caribbean Electric Utilities Services Corporation (CARILEC), General Manager of Wigton Windfarm Limited, Jamaica, Manager at the Centre of Excellence for Renewable Energy, a Division of The Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica, and Lecturer on Integrating Alternative Energy, at the University of the West Indies, Mona among others. He is a Fulbright Nexus Scholarship recipient. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, and MSc in Project Management, both from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. He also holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago. He is a Registered Engineer (PE) in Jamaica, an associate member of the Jamaica Institute of Engineers (JIE), a member of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) and a Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
