Mr. Ehrhardt combines cutting-edge expertise in green hydrogen strategies with decades of experience in power sector regulation and financing in the Caribbean. He led the development of the New Zealand government’s ‘hydrogen futures’ simulation model. He advised on the economics and financing of a green hydrogen project for transportation in the port, buses, and trucks in Auckland, New Zealand’s largest city, and is working with IADB to assess the viability of green hydrogen for buses in Montego Bay. Mr. Ehrhardt’s 30 years of energy experience in the Caribbean includes the creation of multi-sector regulators in Jamaica, Barbados, and Trinidad and Tobago, design and implementation of Jamaica’s renewable energy auctions, and developing renewable energy policies and regulatory frameworks for Dominica and Anguilla. He assisted WRB with its successful 20MW Content Solar project in Jamaica and advises several North American and European infrastructure funds on Caribbean energy investments.
