Aidan Rogers is the Strategic Advisor Eastern Caribbean for HDF Energy Caribbean Holdings Ltd. He is an attorney-at-law by profession, who possesses a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History (First Class Honours) and a Bachelor of Laws Degree, both from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus. He was called to the Barbados Bar in 2003. 

He has been a board member of Barbados Renewable Energy Association (BREA) since 2012, having served as President from 2013 to 2016.  Aidan Rogers has been a vocal advocate for the development of the island’s Sustainable Energy policy, legislative and regulatory framework.  His public service to the Renewable Energy sector in particular has resulted in his participation as an active stakeholder in the Barbados Light & Power Company Limited’s inaugural Integrated Resource Planning exercise as well as serving as an intervener in the Fair Trading Commission’s (FTC’s) consultation on the Renewable Energy Rider (RER) pilot program in 2013 and 2016.  He also served on the National Sustainable Energy Task Force from 2015 to 2018, which was tasked with finalizing the island’s National Sustainable Energy Policy.  In 2016, Aidan Rogers was nominated by the Government of Barbados to serve as the private sector and civil society representative for CARICOM’s Council of Trade and Economic Development (COTED) on the Executive Board of the Caribbean Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (CCREEE) where he currently serves as the alternate representative for that post.  At present, he currently runs his own firm with two associates specializing in providing legal and regulatory advice to the Government of Barbados and several local and international renewable energy clients.
