Amet Novillo is the Managing Director at Equinix Mexico, and is responsible for defining the company’s strategic vision to develop the business market, offer a solid network of prospects, clients, partners and allies, provide thought leadership to accelerate the growth of new businesses and expand EQUINIX’s role as trusted advisors for companies and their digital infrastructure in Mexico.
Telecommunications Engineer from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, with a Master’s Degree in Business Management for Experienced Executives, Business Administration and Management from the IPADE. With certificates from internationally recognized schools such as Instituto Cambridge de Inglaterra,
University of California, Haas School of Business, Thunderbird School of Global Management and the MIT Sloan School of Management.
He has more than 25 years of experience in Infrastructure Business, IT business environments, Cloud, Telecommunications, Administration, Business Operation, Sales, Marketing, Design, Construction, Digital Operation and Datacenter Services.
Since February 2023, Novillo is also president of the Mexican Association of Data Centers MEXDC, which seeks to promote and develop the Data Center industry, through collaboration between the members of the association and their suppliers, strengthen growth national economic and position the data center sector before the government, academia, media and society.
Before joining Equinix, Novillo served as Director of Operations and Engineering at Axtel, where he was responsible for the design, implementation and operation of data centers, telecommunications infrastructure, facilities, fiber optics, data, transmission and voice networks. Within the same company he held different leadership positions.
Amet is recognized for its knowledge of the industry in Mexico, its close and long-standing
relationships with corporate and government clients, as well as relationships with Internet, Connectivity, Cloud, and Content providers, as well as Partners and government institutions.
