Dr. the Honourable Nigel Clarke is Minister of Finance and Public Service and Member of Parliament for St Andrew North Western. 

Prior to his appointment of Minister of Finance, Minister Clarke served as Ambassador at Large for Economic Affairs, Chairman of the Port Authority of Jamaica and Chairman of the National Housing Trust. 

Minister Clarke is a Financier and businessman, by background and spent over two decades in the private sector. 

Minister Clarke holds a D.Phil. in Mathematics and a M.Sc. in Applied Statistics from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar as well as a Commonwealth Scholar and a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of the West Indies, where he was a Jamaica Scholar.
