Dr. Damie Sinanan is the Executive Director of the Caribbean Export Development Agency, where he has been a pivotal member since 2014. With over 20 years of expertise in private sector development, trade and export promotion, investment attraction, and fostering economic resilience in the Caribbean, Dr. Sinanan plays a crucial role in steering the agency. His leadership focuses on implementing projects and programs aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of Caribbean firms, including SMEs, and attracting investments in sectors with transformative potential.

Before joining Caribbean Export, Dr. Sinanan held key positions at exporTT—the official trade promotion agency of Trinidad and Tobago—the Inter-American Development Bank, and Republic Bank Limited.

Dr Sinanan holds a B.Sc, M.Sc and PhD in Economics from the University of the West Indies.
