Managing Director & Head, Investment Banking, Forex and Derivative Sales
Adam is a Managing Director at CIBC Caribbean, and head of the Investment Banking, and FX and Derivatives Sales teams for the Caribbean. Adam and his teams have overall responsibility for the coverage of the Bank’s top-tier corporate and sovereign clients, and providing relationship and transaction support on a wide range of financing and advisory mandates across the Caribbean. Adam brings over 15 years of corporate finance and capital markets experience with him, working in both Canada and the Caribbean over his career. In recent years, Adam has worked on the structuring and execution of several high-profile and award-winning transactions for the Bank’s clients in the region.
Prior to his role with CIBC Caribbean, Adam spent several years in Toronto, Canada working with a global investment bank on its infrastructure private equity desk, and more recently, with a Canadian private equity firm targeting private infrastructure assets across North America and Europe. In these capacities, Adam has worked on a variety of global infrastructure and project finance transactions, with a particular focus towards the renewable energy, utility and infrastructure sectors.
During his CIBC Caribbean tenure, Adam has led the Bank to originate and execute over US$10 billion in various public/private financing and advisory mandates, including several structured and syndicated financings, regional and international (US) bond issuances, and various primary and secondary equity offerings. He has also led the Bank to be the recipient of global awards – by IJGlobal, the Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum and IFR.
Adam holds a B. Sc. degree in Computer Science and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Laurier School of Business & Economics, as well as the CFA designation.
