Former Director of Global Construction Procurement and Supply Management
Matt joins us with over 24 years of global experience in construction, procurement and supply chain management. He led the construction of several of the most advanced Semicon, EV and Battery factories in the world; overseeing $30B+ in construction contracts in North America, Europe, Asia, Middle East, and Central America.
Matt spent the last 7.5 years at Tesla, initially as their Global Director of Construction Procurement and later as their Global Director of Supply Chain Management, here at peak he managed an average of $9B a year in Capex contracts, including construction, logistics, retail and service centers, super charger installs and factory indirects. As a Director, Matt played a key role in building all 4 of Tesla’s Gigafactory’s in Nevada, Shanghai, Berlin and Texas.
Matt started his career at Intel where he directly managed Tool Install procurement and construction for electrical, mechanical and pipe construction scopes for 16 years. He and his teams established and administered RFP’s, negotiations, contracts and supplier management for all Major Trades and support services for Intel’s factories around the world.
Tesla and Intel are both companies that have set industry benchmarks for fastest excavation to start of production for Semiconductor, EV and Battery factories.
