Maria Jose Gonzalez is an Environmental Engineer. She has more than 18 years of experience in environmental issues, especially waste and energy. She has worked as a consultant for the public and private sectors and for international organizations. She was Executive Director of a business organization focused on Comprehensive Waste and Recycling Management (CEMPRE Uruguay). She was the coordinator of the BIOVALOR project focused on technologies for the recovery of agroindustrial waste, focusing on promoting the circular economy. Today the Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining in Uruguay is working on the Uruguayan strategy for Hydrogen.
