Engineer Fernando Castro has more than 20 years of experience in the field of infrastructure, Public Works and Private Initiative, Sustainable Development and Renewable Energy and training associated with everything related to Clean Energy and Infrastructure, in recent years he has specialized in the development of Hydrogen technology projects. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Banking and Finance, with an emphasis on Renewable Energy. His experience focuses mainly on the formulation and evaluation of Infrastructure and Renewable Energy projects (solar, hydroelectric, wind and biomass developments) with the aim of promoting them at both the public and private levels, and at the same time seeking the ideal structure and financing. , according to the proposed formulation. This process includes all stages of development (identification, profile, pre-feasibility , feasibility and final design and supervision). These processes almost always include the component of training and development of local capacities.
His work experience includes positions in both Engineering and Management, training and Environmental Management. From his beginnings as a Project Engineer, to the last years as Financial Administrative Director, General Manager and Infrastructure supervisor. In all these positions and different companies he has always been related to the development of Infrastructure and Sustainable Development. In this last area, it has specialized in the financial evaluation and formulation of Projects under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) of the United Nations, promoting the sale and marketing of Emission Reduction Certificates from qualified projects.
