Specialist in the Competitiveness, Technology, and Innovation Division
Blanca Torrico is a Specialist in the Competitiveness, Technology, and Innovation Division of the IDB, based in Chile. She has over 10 years of experience in the design, management, and monitoring of projects in the areas of science, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship. She has worked with countries in Central America and recently with the Southern Cone, focusing on project supervision in Chile and Paraguay. Before joining the Bank, she worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of the Presidency of the Plurinational State of Bolivia. Blanca holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and International Economics from FLACSO and the University of San Andrés Argentina, as well as an MBA with a specialization in Project Management from the European Institute of Postgraduate Studies and UMECIT.
