Mr. Shevonn N. Cambridge is the Chief Executive Officer of the Bahamas Power and Light Company Limited (BPL). In this role, Mr. Cambridge is responsible for the development and implementation of a strategic plan to facilitate BPL’s transformation to the new utility model championing, inter alia, financial stability, resilience, environmental stewardship, and the integration of emerging technologies.

Mr. Cambridge is an accomplished engineer, attorney and businessman, and has served in numerous leadership positions within BPL and the electricity sector in general. Immediately prior to re-joining BPL in 2022, he served as the Director of Utilities and Energy at the Utilities Regulation & Competition Authority (URCA) for five years. In his previous stint with The Bahamas Electricity Corporation, Mr. Cambridge spent 25 years working through the ranks of Assistant Engineer, Senior Manager, Regional Manager, Assistant General Manager and Deputy General Manager.

Mr. Cambridge holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Manhattan College, NY; a Master of Engineering degree from Virginia Polytechnic & State University, Virginia; a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Miami, Florida; a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of London, England and a Legal Education Certificate from the Eugene Dupuch Law School, Nassau, Bahamas.

Mr. Cambridge enjoys gardening, golfing, fishing and automotive restoration.
