A new program through the International Renewable Energy Agency and the Inter-American Development will soon make grant funding available to anyone who is involved in developing, financing or maintaining sustainable energy projects in Latin America and the Caribbean through the Sustainable Energy Marketplace.

The objective of the marketplace is to accelerate the scale of public and private investments by bringing project owners, governments, financiers and service and technology providers together to:
- enhance understanding of the market and capabilities of project owners;
- create a transparent and structured framework;
- increase project success rates;
- increase sustainable development and energy access.
