Two contenders selected for Guatemala’s renewables call for tenders

The Guatemalan National Institute of Electrification recently announced a call for tenders for a 110MW solar PV project last May.

Two companies, Total Eren Guatemala and Klondike Corporation have submitted proposals which are currently under consideration.

The first is a branch of French company Total Eren, and the second a company associated with Norway’s Scatec Solar.

Financing and investment proposals will become open at a latter stage.

The project’s financing is expected to reach between USD100 and USD120 million.
