SunPower secured a PPA for a 500 MW solar project in Mexico in the recent renewable energy auction.
This includes a 400 MW installation in Yucatan and a 100MW installation in Guanajuato. These projects account for 25% of solar energy awarded in the auction, according to Mexico’s National Center for Energy Control (CENACE).
