St. Vincent’s Geothermal Project in Spotlight at CREF 2016

There’s a newcomer to the geothermal game in the Caribbean – and they’re making progress. Fast. St. Vincent & Grenadines is aggressively pushing to develop its geothermal resource and, even though few would describe this as a “race”, some have their money on SVG’s project to emerge at the front of the pack. This session features a stellar cast – Peter Williams, Managing Director of Emera Caribbean, Tessa Williams-Robertson, Head of the Renewable Energy Division at the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), Ellsworth Dacon, Director of Energy for St. Vincent, and Leslie Labruto, Director, Islands Energy for the Clinton Climate Initiative – who will explore St. Vincent’s geothermal roadmap, the timeframe for the project, hurdles ahead, and what needs to be done to get the project over the finish line.
