RMI opens call for microgrid projects in Puerto Rico

The Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) has issued a tender and open call for microgrid project proposals for three projects in Puerto Rico.

RMI and Save the Children have partnered to support three solar-powered microgrid projects in schools on the island. Each project will include a 74 kW solar PV installation, and a 134 kWh capacity lithium storage system. This partnership aims to deliver a dozen microgrid systems for schools damaged by Hurricane MarĂa, to deliver reliable energy to students.

The call for application proposals will close on December 5th.
