Raymond J. Williams

Raymond J. Williams is a member of the Virgin Islands Board of Election and is serving a second term as a member of the Virgin Islands Public Services Commission, from 2005-07 and 2016 to present. He is presently the Chairman of the commission.

Previously he served as Chief of Staff for a state senator and Chief of Staff for the Office of the Lieutenant Governor during the DeJongh/Francis administration (2007-2014).

Raymond was born and educated on St. Croix, Virgin Islands. After fhis formal education, he graduated from Cheyney University of Pennsylvania in 1986. After college Raymond began his career at TIMEX V. I. Inc. as a Quality Control Manager. He then moved to the V. I. Water & Power Authority as the Safety & Security Inspector, working there for thirteen years before moving into central government as the Director of Occupational Safety & Health, Director of the V. I. Energy office. He took a brief hiatus from the government and worked in private enterprise for a brief stint before returning to public service. 

Raymond is married to Lisa Brown Williams and has three children.
