Nicaraguan geothermal plant sees increase in power generation and revenues

Polaris Infrastructure have published their Q1 reports, which indicate an increase in the production of the San Jacinto geothermal power plant in Nicaragua.

The increase in power generation from the power plant has also resulted in an increase in profit, up from half a million compared to the same period last year

The 72MW geothermal plant has therefore increased its net power generation output by 20%, and the revenues it generated for the company by 27%.

The company’s report also highlighted the progress of  its other renewable projects in the Latin America region, such as hydropower projects in Peru.
