Nicaragua: Production Testing at San Jacinto Geothermal Project to Start in January

The San Jacinto Geothermal Project in Nicaragua will move forward late this year.

Polaris Infrastructure Inc., a Toronto-based company engaged in the operation, acquisition and development of renewable energy projects in Latin America anticipates drilling for the first of these three wells at the San Jacinto Geothermal Project in Nicaragua to be complete in early December 2015.

Support for the project comes from The World Bank Group via discussions with Polaris Infrastructure’s 95% owned subsidiary, Cerro Colorado Power, S.A.. After an extensive due diligence process with the World Bank the Company hopes to have more clarity on specific timelines; this is likely to occur in early in 2016. Overall the financing would enable the Company to pursue a drilling campaign at the Casita-San Cristobal project without requiring cash flow from it’s San Jacinto project.
