Havana Energy/Biopower S.A. Confirm for Cuba Summit

The organizers of the Cuba Energy & Infrastructure Summit are pleased to announce the participation of Andrew MacDonald, Director of Havana Energy and CEO of Biopower S.A., Havana Energy’s joint venture with the Government of Cuba. In 2012, UK-based Havana Energy entered into a joint venture with the Cuban state-run Zerus SA to build five biomass power plants in Cuba, marking the biggest joint venture between Cuba and a British company in almost half a century. A pilot project at the Ciro Redondo sugar mill is expected to break ground in late 2016.

Mr. MacDonald will also participate as a panelist in a webinar on Opening Doors to Cuba’s Energy Revolution on August 3rd, 2016. More information can be found here.
