The Geothermal Congress for Latin America and the Caribbean (GEOLAC) is the only gathering of Latin American and Caribbean geothermal stakeholders on the annual calendar. Launched in 2012, the event brings together public, private and multilateral stakeholders for two days of intensive networking and discussion on the prospects for investment in geothermal region-wide.
GEOLAC 2017, which took place in Mexico City, was the largest to date and gathered 150 stakeholders from 30 countries. 13 regional governments were represented by senior officials.
Since 2014, GEOLAC has been co-hosted by the World Bank Group. GEOLAC has historically also been supported by the IDB, CABEI, KfW and CAF.
GEOLAC 2018 will take place on 17-18 July in Mexico City. More information here.
