The organizers of GEOLAC are pleased to announce a complimentary half day workshop on April 26th designed to promote understanding of and opportunities afforded by the newly-announced Geothermal Development Facility for Latin America (GDF). The workshop will be hosted by KfW and organized by IDA Fund Management, the GDF fund manager.
KfW, working jointly with The World Bank, CAF, CABEI, ESMAP, IDB, AfD, EIB, JICA, NDF, BGR and GIZ, launched the Geothermal Development Facility (GDF) for Latin America in the framework of COP20 in Lima, Peru in December 2014. The GDF is the first multidonor climate initiative to promote geothermal energy within LAC.
