Dominican Republic breaks ground on PV plant

The Dominican Republic has broken ground on a new 5MW solar PV project.

U.S. company WCG Energy Ltd started the installation of the photovoltaic park.

The solar energy park is located in Mata de Palma, Guerra, and will provide 80 000 inhabitants with electricity. The project will provide 110 million KW per year of clean energy.

The project was financed by a USD 78 million investment.
