Developer selected for Bermuda’s 6 MW solar project

Government officials in Bermuda have just signed an agreement with project developer, Saturn Solar Bermuda 1 Ltd. to build a 6 MW solar PV project on St. David’s Island, Bermuda. This announcement marks the official commencement of works for the project. While the LF Wade Airport PV project will be built next to the airport, the power will be used for the entire island, not solely for the airport.

Saturn Solar Bermuda 1 was the lowest bidder of 9 developers, coming in at 10.3 cents/ kWh. The project will drive job creation for the local economy, as it specified usage of Bermudian personnel for labor and operations.
