Sandra Sealy is the Chief Executive Officer of the Fair Trading Commission in Barbados –  the agency responsible for consumer protection, fair competition and utility regulation in Barbados.  She has been with the Commission for over 17 years and prior to taking up the position of CEO in October 2015, she was the Director of Utility Regulation (DUR) with responsibility for the regulation of the electricity, telecommunications, and water sectors. She has participated in several forums focused on the development of regulation as the electricity sector transforms to greater use of renewable energy, the flexibility of energy systems and the transparency of information in the sector.

Mrs. Sealy holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Edinburgh’s Heriot-Watt University. She also has an M.Sc. (Distinction) in Telecommunications Regulatory Policy and a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Electrical Engineering from the University of the West Indies.
