Kieran St Omer

Kieran is an experienced policy analyst and capital market professional, who has worked in various capacities within the financial services industry from 2007. 

Kieran’s primary role involves the implementation of regional financial sector diversification initiatives, serving on the ECCB FinTech Working Group and the implementation of policies for the development of the Eastern Caribbean Securities Market (ECSM).

Previously she served as a Senior Securities Market Policy and Research Analyst to the Eastern Caribbean Securities Regulatory Commission (ECSRC); making notable contributions to regulatory reporting and compliance requirements for market intermediaries; and the sale of structured fixed income investment instruments.  

During her 1-year tenure as a Country Economist at the ECCB, she wrote a policy paper on the Implications of Mergers and Acquisitions for the Telecommunications Sector; published in the ECCB Economic and Financial review (September 2015).

Within the brokerage industry, she gained investor relations, education and marketing experience as a Business Development and Private Client Relations professional presenting at numerous investment and financial planning seminars. Additionally, Ms St. Omer served as a Lecturer for regional financial market training courses, including the ECCB Savings and Investment Course and the Eastern Caribbean Securities Market Certification Program.  

Kieran is a recent graduate scholar of the Capital Market Fellowship Program offered by the International Finance Corporation and Milken Institute at the George Washington University, USA. As part of the program, she interned as a Private Equity Associate at an Investment Advisory firm in New York. During the Milken Institute Global Conference (Los Angeles, May 2019), she competed and won a Capital Market Game-Changer’s Policy Shark Tank presenting an innovative financing mechanism for a regional renewal energy infrastructure fund for the Caribbean. She currently serves as co-Captain of the Alumni Press and Publications Committee.

Ms St. Omer is currently pursuing Level 2 of the Chartered Financial Analyst Program and holds Bachelors of Science Degree (Honors) in Economics and Accounting (UWI).
