Ms. Reid entered the Civil Service in 1999 as a Project Analyst in the Public Investment Unit of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs. During that time she was responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of the public sector investment programmes across the energy, education and health sectors. She was seconded to the National Petroleum Corporation in 2008 to spearhead the planning and preparation for the Upgrade and Expansion of the Natural Gas Network. During this time a keen interest in the Alternative Energy Sector was developed. Subsequently, in 2011 Ms. Reid joined the Division of Energy which is now the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources as Project Manager for the Inter-American Development Bank funded programmes. She is currently responsible for the management of a US$78 million portfolio which includes, the Public Sector Smart Energy Programme, the Smart Building Demonstration Project, Phase 2 of the Sustainable Energy Investment Programme (Energy Smart Fund) and the Technical Corporation for the Sustainable Energy Framework for Barbados.

Ms. Reid graduated from University of Bradford with a MSc in Development and Project Planning, she also holds a BSc in Economics and Accounts from the University of the West Indies. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
