Electrification Sector Specialist


Ms. Gale Dulal is presently the Electrification Sector Specialist at the Ministry of Public Utilities. She is responsible for providing technical expertise and strategic direction for the Electricity Sector of Trinidad and Tobago, to the Permanent Secretary and or the Minister of Public Utilities since 2016. She also represents the Ministry of Public Utilities on several Interministerial Committees with respect to Electricity.

Ms. Dulal holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of West Indies. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)  and  she is also a qualified Technician in addition to holding certificates in Emergency Power management, and Engineering Transients Analysis.

She is a member of the Board of Engineers of Trinidad and Tobago (BOETT), a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Trinidad and Tobago,  (APETT) and a member of the international Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, the Trinidad and Tobago Chapter. (IEEETT)

She has over 25 years experience with oil, gas and petrochemicals, working in both upstream and downstream industries;  offshore and onshore. She is a past Vice Chair of the Women In Engineering, a sub chapter of the IEEETT.

Ms. Dulal is a member of the Congress World Broadcast Network (C-WBN) and is actively involved in voluntary and charitable initiatives.
