Carey Escoffery is a co-founder and the Chief Financial Officer of Hyperion Xergy, an e-mobility developer based in the Caribbean.  He is also the Vice President of Business Development at sister company, Xergy Energy, a clean energy development firm.  Carey is responsible for domestic and international growth, investor relations and financial, contract and risk management.

In his capacity at Hyperion Xergy and Xergy Energy, he has been responsible for (1) Negotiating commercial terms and the fundraising efforts for PPP public transportation electric-mobility programs ($78M CAD); (2) negotiating energy procurement contracts ($50M CAD); (3) financial modelling and acquisition due diligence of distributed solar PV assets; (4) strategic planning of electric vehicle charging networks for Canadian and Caribbean electricity generation and distribution utilities; and (5) conducting electric-mobility fleet studies for governments and utilities across the Caribbean.

 

Prior to his tenure with the Xergy family of companies, he enjoyed a range of roles at BMO Financial Group across;

 

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Finance from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and has completed private placement certifications from the Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC).
