Seán Flannery is a global finance expert who advises governments, multilaterals and developers on renewable energy finance. He is the Managing Member of Redbrow, LLC., where he focuses on creating renewable energy infrastructure financing strategies, policies and markets which meet mainstream institutional investor funding requirements. He is a Senior Advisor to the Financial Institutions Group of the World Bank Group’s International Finance Corporation (IFC). Mr. Flannery previously was Chief Investment Officer (Americas) for State Street Global Advisors (SSgA), responsible for over US$2 trillion in global assets. Mr. Flannery has a BA in Economics from the George Washington University and is a Fellow at the Harvard Weatherhead Center for International Affairs (in residence 2009-2010). He was appointed by the European Securities Market Association as an expert consultant to the Financial Innovation Standing Committee. He is a member of the Panel of Advisors of the Climate Bond Initiative and the Newsweek Green Rankings Advisory Council.
