Sasha has worked for more than two decades at the interface of policy, technology, and markets in the clean energy space. Sasha currently serves as Director of U.S. Market Development & Government Affairs for Enviva, the world’s largest supplier of biomass to the utility industry. Previously, he was Vice President at Summit Power Group, a developer of energy projects. Prior to joining Summit, Sasha was a Founding Director of the Bipartisan Policy Center’s Energy Program and was the Research Director at the National Commission on Energy Policy. Early in his career, he was an analyst in the US EPA’s Clean Air Markets Division. Sasha has graduate degrees in public policy and engineering from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in geomechanical engineering from the University of Rochester.
