Roger Blackman is the Managing Director of Barbados Light & Power Company Limited (BLPC), a position he has held since July 2016. He has served BLPC and its parent company Emera Inc. in increasingly senior roles over the past 32 years. Immediately prior to his current role at BLPC, he held the position of Senior Director Business Development at Emera Inc. He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Caribbean Electric Utility Services Corporation (CARILEC), a member of the Board of Directors of St Lucia Electricity Services (LUCELEC) and a member of the Board of Directors of the Barbados Private Section Association (BPSA). Roger holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus and an MBA from Durham University. He is a member and Past President of the Barbados Association of Professional Engineers.
