Head of Asset Management, Director
David Delaire is Head of Asset Management, Director, at MPC Renewable Energies. In this role, he has developed an asset management platform from where he manages the company’s global renewable energy portfolio. He also co-manages MPC Renewable Energies, with a focus on supporting M&A activities and leading asset-related activities upon acquisition/financial close.The main activities include management of supply and service agreements, coordination of investor reporting and asset performance optimization.
Previously he was Director of Asset Management at Natural Power, COO at Greensolver, CTO at Eolfi (a former Veolia company) and Operations Manager at General Electric. His track record includes the technical and commercial asset management of more than 450 MW of photovoltaic (PV) solar and 820 MW of onshore wind assets. He has developed and established asset management platforms, resulting in robust growth across various markets.
David has been active in the renewable energy industry for the past 12 years in various stages of the value-chain and has attained ISO 90001 certification in asset management and EPCM for a previous employer. He also possesses strong EPC/EPCM project management experience, having built both conventional and renewable energy power plants across the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. Having served on various board of directors of for-profit and non-profit organisations, David is well versed in corporate governance, the roles and responsiblities that is required for prudent administration of various types of business entities. Regarding asset management, he has served as a Director or Managing Director for several renewable energy assets in various parts of the world, including Europe, the Caribbean and Asia.
For the past 12 years, David has spoken at conferences, been a moderator, panelist and private consultant on various subjects regarding renewable energies in Europe, the United States and the Caribbean. These include asset management, construction, project management, operations and maintenance (O&M), due diligence and project financing.
David holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Tuskegee University, United States, and a Masters of Business Administration with a focus in Management from Webster University, United States.
