Business Development Manager

An experienced professional with an important track-record in the energy sector of the Dominican Republic. Started his professional career in 1998 with the Dominican Electricity Corporation, collaborating during the commissioning of 3 x 34 MW open cycle gas turbines GE-ALSTOM. In 1999, after the capitalization of the state-owned generation companies, joined the AES Group in the Dominican Republic, performing different positions within the organization, making important contributions through the analysis of the economic operation of the wholesale electricity market and diversifying the business portfolio, offering energy and natural gas to industrial customers. In 2011, got the opportunity to work with Aggreko International, with the responsibility of looking for new business opportunities, for temporary energy solutions around Central America and the Caribbean, acquiring important knowledges about the energy matrix composition and the regulatory system of these markets. Since 2016, has been a key part of the Soventix Team, with the responsibility for the development of large-scale photovoltaic power projects around the region, as well as the management and representation of Monte Plata Solar 30 MW, the first type of this project in the Dominican Republic and one of the largest in the Caribbean region. His educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, from Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña in Santo Domingo, and a Master’s Degree in Regulation of Energy Markets, from Universidad de Comillas in Madrid, Spain. In addition, holds a Post-Graduate Degree in Electrical Law from Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra and has completed several management and development programs at Barna Business School in Santo Domingo. In addition, has published an article “Living based on Renewable Energy; Science Fiction or Achievable Reality?” in the Energy Edition Magazine (edition July – August 2017) of the American Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic (AMCHAMDR). Likewise, has given several conferences: Net Measurement and Incentives to Invest in Renewable Energy in the Dominican Republic.
